An alignment can make or break a car. Few things are as instantly gratifying as rolling off the rack with a new set-up that transforms the car! There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to alignments, there are always trade-off. Set-ups that give better handling performance often have poor tire wear. a set-up that has great turn-in and cornering can be weaker in the braking department. As with all things in cars, it's about picking what's ideal for your application.
We've created a list of common baselines that we use here at our shop. each car and driver has preferences and needs that are unique, but this is a good starting point!

When it comes to selecting your shocks, regardless of what brand or type you pick, you want a spring rate that matches your car's weight and application. Below is what we have found to be a good general rule based on an average Miata weight. However, if your car is heavier or lighter, and you're driving application is unique, you might need something different. As always, feel free to call us and we can advise you on what would be best for your set-up.
Most coilovers, including the Silver's we carry can be purchased and valves for any spring rate.
